We conduct our business in compliance with laws and regulations in all the countries in which we operate. We respect the laws of every country and every region in the world. We also act with a strong moral responsibility to prevent any pollution and reduce impact on the environmental. We think that compliance is more about than making sure people work in a safe and healthy environment, it also means compliance to the production line itself. One of our main mandates is to make sure that line is as efficient as possible.

We sell our products around the world, and, as a result, face numerous and varied global regulations, for example, the European Union (EU) Registration and the U.S. Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). These regulations establish limitations, restrictions or obligations on the use of certain substances in auto parts manufacturing.
The following law acts can be mentioned among the main that we adhere to:
• Compliance with the RoHS Directive (Restriction of Hazardous Substances);
• Compliance with REACH (Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) Regulations (EU);
• Compliance with specific energy saving regulations in each country and region;
• Compliance with the WEEE Directive (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).

In addition, TMI TATSUMI discloses product information in accordance with The Eco Declaration (ECMA-370). Compliance is very important in our company. Health and safety regulations, for instance, are at the top of the list of mandates, which we adhere to. We try to identify different areas for improvement and finding ways to maximize productivity and efficiency with accordance to the laws.

It is common knowledge the multitude of parts in an automobile needs extensive data collection to demonstrate compliance with all legislative requirements. A single non-compliant part represents a very real risk for the company of enforcement action, including fines and market recalls. The regulatory compliance is continuously expanding and evolving, requiring us to keep up to date with changes and understand their impact. We may be exempt from regulations in one jurisdiction in one country, but not in another, which requires an agile compliance program that is well realized by our Compliance Department.

As spare auto parts supplier we have our own obligations. We produce complex products and collect all necessary data to demonstrate compliance and transfer this data to regulatory authorities and our customers.
